COVENTRY TOUR
 Posted 08/11/2010		 The whole tour was a total success and all four games were won with same ease. The Britannia Hotel was situated in the centre of Coventry where we enjoyed the local ale houses and betting shops.
The destination of the 2011 tour has yet to be decided. A meeting will soon be arranged.
 
110th YEAR
 Posted 08/11/2010		 To celebrate our 110th year we will play special President games against the MBA and the RSVBA
 
THURSDAY NIGHT CLOSING
 Posted 08/11/2010		 Unfortunately, due to a gradual drop off in trade the Club will no longer be open on a Thursday evening. The Committee will assess the situation at the start of next season.
 
NEW PAVILION
 Posted 08/11/2010		 It was hoped that the new green side pavilion would be started at the end of this season. Unfortunately, due to funding delays construction will now start just before Christmas or in January 2011.
The cost will be about £420,000 and will be a multi purpose building for ourselves and the Tennis Club.
We have been waiting for the pavilion since our original building was demolished way back in 1988.
 
ANNUAL PRESENTATION EVENING
 Posted 08/11/2010		 This years presentations will be held at the Moose Club on 13th November. We have limited the attendance to 85 people. Tickets are £4 each and includes a buffet and artist
 
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
 Posted 08/11/2010		 This years meeting will be held at the club house on Sunday, 31st October at 3.pm
Please can you make a special effort to attend as there are a number of important matters to discuss. Nomination sheets are now up on the notice board and will be removed two weeks before the meeting.

PAVILLION UPDATE The Council have promised to build us a new pavilion by next May / June.  It will be manned and will double for Bowls and Tennis.  There will be 2 large changing room, kitchen, toilets and a main dining room. 
 
   
INDOOR GAME
 


An indoor game has been arranged against Abertillery on Saturday, 27th March.  An availability sheet is on the club notice board for members wishing to be considered for the game. 
   
SOCIAL EVENING

Following the indoor game on 27th March, there will be a social evening at the club.  Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the night
   
ANNUAL  SPECIAL GENERAL  MEETING Please be aware that this years ASGM will be held at the Club on Sunday, 18th April, at 3pm.  We will discuss the Treasurers recommendations for Club Membership fees and match charges for weekends and mid week.  Also the mode of transport for away games and Council season tickets.

 

  
FIRST GAME The first match is arranged for Monday, 19th April away to Abercarn.  Availability sheets will be us well before the game.
   
2010 PRESENTATION EVENING

Following the success of last years evening at the Moose Club we have decided to again use the Moose Club for this years event.  It will be held on Saturday, 13th November.

 
   
TOUR  2010 If we have any information regarding our tour of Coventry we can have a quick get together of the tourist after the ASGM.
   
CLUB  COMPETITION 2010 For the 2010 club competitions it has been agreed that the Captain and Secretary will organise and control this years events.  We hope that all games will be played off by the specified dates and that no names need to be crossed off
